Landscape Design Part 1 - Fruit

Landscape Design Part 1 - Fruit

It is an important aspect for the family and an extension to the home.
A true art in finding the right balance between the nature of a property and convenience in life to maintain resulting in endless possibilities. A huge point in planning was simplifying, waterwise solutions, drought resistance and ecofriendly.
As our main goal is growing food supporting our family and share with the community, we have chosen a combination of different aspects. Including the fond memory of The Secret Garden being a piece of classic childhood literature, the south Australian original farm and the wild bush.
We truly believe a design is unique, in our little challenge we required to incorporate a BAL 12.5 rating, an N3 Wind rating and our soil classification for our property.
Based on the lot criteria, we have set up the fruit trees on the west side and deciduous on the north, providing shade, shelter and a windbreak for the vegetable garden.
We have broken down our property into 4 areas in our garden, which are not strictly separated but give a little more overview to plan accordingly.

Out of experience this will evolve and change over time, we have a few of our precious plants in a shade house and greenhouse. Due to the weather struggling we are hoping to establish them over time and producing true abundance.
In total honesty a part will remain with a trial and error approach, even with extensive resources, wide range of knowledge and experience.
There is a divine beauty in learning as knowledge is vital in life and counting this as a blessed gift.
